Tailoring Project
A detailed look into the planning, execution, and impact of our tailoring project
Empowering Rural Women Through Skills and Livelihood
Upon successful completion of the course, each participant receives a new sewing machine free of cost, enabling her to start a home-based tailoring business or seek employment opportunities in the garment sector.
This initiative not only creates income-generating opportunities but also promotes self-confidence, financial independence, and long-term community development. By supporting women with skills and resources, we are helping families build a more secure future and creating positive transformation throughout rural communities.
The Tailoring Center Project is a practical and sustainable solution that empowers women to become active contributors to their households and local economy, bringing lasting change for generations to come.
We have launched our Tailoring Center Project with the goal of empowering women in rural villages of North India through vocational training and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
Many women in these villages have limited access to education and employment. They dedicate their time to caring for their families while the primary earners work long hours for low wages. Due to the lack of industries, factories, and employment opportunities in this underdeveloped region, many families continue to face poverty and financial insecurity. Widows, single mothers, and vulnerable women are particularly affected by these challenges.
Recognizing this need, we established the Tailoring Center Project to equip women with practical skills that can help them earn a stable income and improve their quality of life. The program provides comprehensive training in:
Drawing and pattern making
Cutting and stitching
Garment designing
Pressing and finishing techniques
Sewing machine maintenance and repair
Basic business and marketing skills
